Justin Hocking
Director
Justin is the Director here at JH & Co. He started the business in 1986 after moving to Shepparton a few years prior. Before deciding to start the firm, he worked in a range of jobs including a salesperson at Myer, working for several accounting firms, running a toyshop and even selling life insurance door to door – all good life experience he’s put to good use.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Deakin University. Justin’s motivation for starting the business was to be able to support his clients with their businesses, assist them through any issues and help them to grow their business into something they could be proud of. In the same way, he encourages JH & Co clients to continue to evolve their business. Justin is always endeavouring to build on the services that JH & Co provides to best serve our clients and remain relevant.
Outside of work you can usually find Justin with his horses – grooming, training or traveling to and from competitions. He is always striving to improve his riding skills with the hope of one day riding a horse at the top level of dressage in Australia. Occasionally Justin shows his inner daredevil – going sky diving, rock climbing and abseiling.
Joe Borrelli
Senior Accountant
We find business people, like most people, like to be told they are doing well; that of course their dreams and goals are achievable. However we won’t just say the things you want to hear; we will put your interests and business success first and advise accordingly – and hope you’ll listen and take our professional advice!
B.Com, CPA Senior Accountant & Financial Management
Joe is one of our senior accountants and financial managers here at JH & Co. Joe completed a Bachelor of Commerce at La Trobe University and then started with the firm in 2001. Since then, Joe has used his knowledge and experience to work closely with our clients providing business management services and taxation planning and advice. His knowledge of the agricultural and building and construction industries is strong and these are areas he really enjoys dealing with. On top of playing a big part as one of the accountants at JH & Co, Joe also manages the financial aspects of the business.
In his spare time outside of work Joe likes to spend time with his family, watch different sports and go down to Melbourne to support the North Melbourne Football Club. (Joe is a mad Kangaroos fan, so best not to have a dig when they lose a game over the weekend.)
Ben Jondahl
Financial Accountant
At JH & Co we endeavor to provide our clients with high quality service, assistance with all their business requirements and help them to understand and improve the businesses. Our clients are usually family owned and managed businesses. We go beyond mere compliance and look to be involved with our clients throughout their journey.
When Ben started with JH & Co in 2017, he had just completed his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at La Trobe in Shepparton. Ben was drawn to the industry after talking with people who were working in similar roles and felt it was an area he would find rewarding. Ben has quickly grown to enjoy the management accounting side of his role and is keen to continue expanding his knowledge and the support he can provide to clients.
Outside of the office, Ben can be found hanging out with his wife Sophie and friends or heading down to Melbourne to go and watch various sports, visit the casino or finding any number of new and exciting restaurants and cafes. If he’s not visiting Melbourne, he can often be found watching or doing anything sports related – his favorite sports being AFL, soccer, and tennis. He would one day love to go and watch Chelsea play in the English Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
Kashfia Haque Neelom
Accountant
Kashfia is a dedicated and detail-oriented accountant with a Master of Professional Accounting from The University of Queensland, proudly graduating with the Dean’s Honour Roll award.
Kashfia brings a strong foundation in financial reporting along with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving. She is known for a proactive mindset, analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach to supporting business goals and compliance.
Beyond the numbers, Kashfia enjoys travelling and spending quality time with family and friends—believing that balance and meaningful connections enrich both personal and professional life.
Fiona Galvin
Client Services Manager & Bookkeeper
Fiona is studying a Bachelor of Accounting with La Trobe University
Fiona is the friendly face behind our client support and bookkeeping. Always happy to help, she makes sure everything runs smoothly, from answering inquiries to keeping your bookkeeping and financial records in check. With her approachable nature and attention to detail, she helps clients feel confident and supported. She looks forward to meeting you next time you call or visit our office.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending her free time with her family, fur babies and craft supplies.
Jazmyn Guenther
Administration Assistant
Introducing Jazmyn! Lowering our average age in the office and raising the IQ.
Jaz has joined us at JH & Co in the administration area. She is the friendly voice on the other end of the line and the warm smile that greets you when you visit our office.
Jaz has already shown us that she is capable of tackling any task given to her with interest, commitment and a genuine ‘can do’ attitude.
Part of her role is to ensure that our clients are taking care of tasks before their due dates, collecting information, collating data and assisting clients with their accounting related queries.
In her spare time, she can be found spending time with and riding her horse, taking care of her beloved dog, and hanging out with her partner, family and friends.
