Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment
The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) is a lump sum payment to help you if you’ve been significantly affected by Victorian Floods in October 2022.
You have until 15 April 2023 to make a claim for the following Local Government Areas (LGAs):
- Campaspe
- Greater Shepparton
- Maribyrnong
- Mitchell Shire
- Strathbogie.
The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment is not for minor damage or inconvenience. Its purpose is to help with major damage to your property or other assets. You can choose to get this payment in 2 parts.
If you lost income as a direct result of Victorian Floods, October 2022, you may also be eligible for Disaster Recovery Allowance. If you’re eligible, you may be able to get both the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment and Disaster Recovery Allowance.

- Macedon Ranges
- Mansfield
- Maribyrnong
- Mitchell
- Moira
- Moonee Valley
- Murrindindi
- Northern Grampians
- Pyrenees
- Strathbogie
- Wangaratta.
The Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) is a short term payment to help you if the Victorian Floods in October 2022 directly affects your income.
You can get it for a maximum of 13 weeks. We’ll pay this from the date you started losing income as a direct result of the Victorian Floods that started on 6 October 2022.
You may also be eligible for Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment.
